The review I never sent ~

How was your interaction with our support team?

Bad, very unsatisfied

I didn’t feel like I ever reached a human being. I was in a situation where our needs were active right then and it was fairly inconvenient to have the issue. I know it wasn’t anything I needed to do, and I even understand that there may have been a snafu being worked out right that moment and everyone is “piping in” about it. However, I’m of the ilk of transparency and would just appreciate some sort of notification that you are aware of the issue, and if it’s a situation where you have to follow up after the fact, say, we’re sorry that happened. We’ve fixed it. The whole situation felt like every other s*&%y support situation where no one wants to just fess up and say, the code broke, we’re on it! Like, “you’re right, somethings wrong and we’ll fix it”. I know how this stuff works. I don’t know enough to get paid ridiculous amounts to build it, but enough to know that mistakes happen when “we” build things, and I do not expect the companies I align with to be perfect in that regard, perhaps others do, and this is our problem. Pleasing the wrong customer. *sigh* Please do not gaslight me.

Additional Commentary: The tech companies and internet platforms have developed this method of making us all feel dumb. I can not tell you how many times I interact with people who pull their hair out over something that is not working as it should to find out that the thing their trying to get to work is broken. I get that there are many people with varying degrees of intuition when it comes to technology. & yes, the “Have you tried turning it off and back on again?” joke is “truth in comedy”, however, we’re beyond that. Folks went on to build intuitive machines, code and algorithms to minimize the complexity and maximize accessibility, so sometimes – you’all ~ master designers, coders and creators of inconceivables ~ if not most of the time now, there is a point where your fucking brilliant shit is broken. That is the fucking humanity (wow, I’m getting impassioned now, sees a soapbox, steps on up) That is the fucking humanity about technology, we’re building it, it’s us, therefore, it will never be perfect, it will always break somewhere, somehow, it can not evolve without breaking and us seeking it’s solution. The further we get from acknowledging that, then, sure! the more power we give it to destroy us – (suddenly realizing I’ve heightened into an apocalyptical fantasy and I should make a note about this speech for another day).

Best to you all, stay safe out there!

Second attempt at a review: The support wasn’t how I had hoped it would be. The issue was fixed over a couple days without any check in, rather a followup saying “we’re sorry we couldn’t connect and assume it was fixed”. I felt like I was left in the dark, the chat bot was not equipped to make me feel supported at all, and after all of it, exactly what I expected, no transparency in the matter.

Still did not send, yet, I feel better. Thanks internet!

also, apologies to my Mother for the language.
